John Cena’s love of muscle cars is well known. Now, The Champ wants to spread the love – and help out the family of a longtime friend in the process.

Cena and his brother, West Newbury police Sgt. Dan Cena, are helping to stage a muscle car benefit event to help the family of Kenny Fowler, a firefighter who died in December 2007.

The event takes place on August 15 from noon to 5 p.m. at Pentucket Regional High School in West Newbury, Mass. The charity purchased a 2010 Chevy Camaro to be raffled off at the end of the day. For the price of $100 per ticket, 400 tickets will be sold for the raffle, and there will also be a $2 admission fee for the show.

Cena will also be in attendance to help out, signing autographs from 3 to 5 p.m., and all proceeds from the event will go to the Kenny Fowler scholarship foundation.
