Dory Funk, Jr.

Dory Funk, Jr. is a member of the legendary Funk family. Along with his father Dory and brother Terry, Funk is from Amarillo, Tex. and has always stayed close to his Texan roots. Dory has enjoyed success in both singles and tag team competition. He won his first NWA Championship in 1969 when he defeated Gene Kinisky. Funk went on to hold the gold for an amazing four years before dropping the championship to WWE Hall of Famer Harley Race. Funk also won several NWA regional championships and carried his winning ways over to Japan where he was a multiple time NWA International Champion. He also formed a powerful tag team with his brother Terry, and they went on to win the NWA Tag Team Championship. The duo also competed at WrestleMania 2, picking up a big win over WWE Hall of Famers Tito Santana and Junkyard Dog.
