Super Bowl champion Prince Amukamara a Giant WWE fan

New York Giants rookie defensive back Prince Amukamara dishes on his roots as a WWE fan, which Giants teammate has his back, and talks some smack prior to Sunday’s big game.

WWE.com: When did you know you were destined to become a WWE Superfan?

PRINCE AMUKAMARA: When I was younger in Arizona, I played in a lot of Parks and Recreation leagues, and a friend just introduced me to WWE — I just fell in loveThe Rock gives the People's Eyebrow with it. My favorite guys were Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and Triple H, who I happened to meet just a couple of weeks ago. I loved the swagger Stone Cold and The Rock had. Stone Cold always had that cocky attitude. And I loved The Rock’s catchphrases and the People’s Eyebrow. I can do the People’s Eyebrow.

WWE.com: Did you ever want to be a WWE Superstar?

AMUKAMARA: I definitely did, but I could never deal with the constant pounding and beatings. When I think of wrestling, I immediately think of Mick Foley and TLC matches. I couldn’t do that stuff.

D-Generation XWWE.com: Which of your Giants teammates would be your first choice as tag team partner?

AMUKAMARA: Ahmad Bradshaw. Just because Ahmad will fight you to the death and he’d always have my back. He won’t give up.

WWE.com: Here’s a hypothetical situation: you make a big hit in the Super Bowl, and there’s no chance of a penalty. What WWE-inspired taunt do you do?

AMUKAMARA: I’d probably do the D-Generation X chop.

WWE.com: The New York Giants were a bit of a long-shot to make the Super Bowl, and are going in as slight underdogs, is there anyone in WWE who parallels your story?

The World's Strongest Man, Mark HenryAMUKAMARA: I don’t know, but if you look at any of our defensive lineman, they remind me of [Mark Henry].

WWE.com: Last question: cut your best WWE-style promo on the New England Patriots for this Sunday…

AMUKAMARA: New England Patriots! You say you want to go one-on-one with the New York Football Giants!? Well, I tell you what, buddy - come Sunday, February 5th, 2012, it’s going down! Yes, in Indianapolis, in Lucas Oil Stadium, the Giants and the Patriots. We’re gonna get physical. And it’s gonna be a bloodbath. Now, can I get a “Hell yeah!?”

Update: Amukamara and the Giants backed up their talk on the field in the Big Game; Big Blue pulled out a 4th-quarter comeback to win 21-17 and their fourth championship.
