WCW Magazine was the official publication of the Ted Turner-owned promotion from 1989 until the company’s demise in 2001. When WCW was trying to redefine itself in 2000, then-Baltimore Sun writer Kevin Eck was hired as the publications editor and created a magazine that was, arguably, better than what was on WCW television, with in-depth interviews, photos and many great features that provided a look at WCW competitors both in and out of the ring.
