Chris Hardwick calls for WWE showdown between Negan and Daryl on “Talking Dead”

On AMC’s “Talking Dead,” following the gruesome and shocking Season 7 premiere of “The Walking Dead,” stars Norman Reedus and Jeffrey Dean Morgan got into a brief, playful scuffle that host Chris Hardwick not-so-secretly hoped evolved into a full-fledged WWE match.
On the season premiere, Reedus’ character Daryl’s actions lead to the harrowing demise of (SPOILERS!) at the hands of Morgan’s character Negan. On “Talking Dead,” seemingly channeling their alter-egos, Morgan taunted Reedus about the plot and its resulting consequences.
The verbal jab prompted Reedus to playfully charge at Morgan, and they exchanged soft blows before embracing. Nearly jumping from his seat to serve as a guest referee, the hosting Hardwick expressed his desire to see a real battle take place in the squared circle.
“I so wish this turned into WWE, that would be so amazing,” Hardwick said, to the delight of the live audience.
