Raw Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson def. Enzo Amore & Big Cass

MILWAUKEE —  Enzo Amore’s flashy sneakers always get attention, but the WWE Universe was talking about The Certified G’s Air Jordans for an entirely different (and unfortunate) reason after WWE Fastlane, where Amore’s foot played into a controversial loss to Raw Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson.

Using their time-tested divide-and-conquer tactics to keep Amore isolated from his increasingly frustrated 7-foot-tall friend, the so-called “good brothers” made Cass’ immense size a non-factor for most of the match. When the Queens-born colossus was tagged in, however, the champions were sent scurrying like extras in a monster movie.

After Cass unloaded on the legal man, Anderson — a barrage that included a ring-shaking Empire Elbow — the big man tagged in Amore and sent “Muscles Marinara” soaring onto the champion with the Bada-Boom Shakalaka. The duo was a second away from championship glory, but Gallows was on-hand at ringside to break up the pinfall.

Amid the ensuing chaos, Anderson nailed Amore in the skull with a knee strike. Enzo showed incredible ring awareness by getting his foot on the bottom rope, but Gallows knocked it off before the ref could see it, leading to a successful title defense for the so-called “good brothers.”

Enzo & Cass don’t exactly take defeat lightly — or quietly — so expect the thunder-and-lightning duo to continue their quest to become “The Realest Champs in the Room” as WrestleMania fast approaches.
