Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day def. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

INDIANAPOLIS — Looks like The New Day isn’t in danger of, ahem, retiring as Raw Tag Team Champions anytime soon. Despite a determined effort by Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, who waged a brutal campaign against ya boys leading up to WWE Clash of Champions, New Day rocked Indianapolis and kept their title reign alive in the first match of Raw’s first exclusive pay-per-view since the Brand Extension.

Gallows & Anderson, however, certainly made it an uphill climb for The New Day. They picked up right where they left off after Gallows took out Big E & Xavier Woods at ringside, while legal man Anderson set about dismantling Kofi Kingston in the ring. Impressively, Gallows & Anderson had an answer for every one of New Day’s greatest hits, including a Boot of Doom to Big E, and a chokeslam from Gallows to Kingston.

But once Gallows & Anderson were separated, their well-oiled game plan went out the window. It was Big E who provided the difference-maker, shoving an interfering Gallows into the steel steps before Kofi swooped in with an over-the-top rope dive. With the referee preoccupied by the carnage, Woods smashed Anderson in the head with Francesca II and sent him stumbling straight into the match-ending Midnight Hour from Kofi & Big E. Goodnight, good brothers.

After a victory over Gallows & Anderson at WWE Clash of Champions, WWE Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day declare that even if the world ended, they would still be champions.
